Eigenfrequency Analysis of Helmholtz problems via the boundary element method., IMACS, Dublin (1991)
S. M. Kirkup and S Amini

The application of the boundary element method reduces an interior Helmholtz eigenvalue problem to that of a non-linear eigenvalue problem, In this paper a method for solving this is achievedthrough making a polynomial approximation of the boundary element matrix and transforming it into a generalised eigenvalue problem. The methd is tested on a two-dimenional square.
